Acquisition Search
AMI runs Europe’s pre-eminent database of plastic processors. Sold often as directories,
this in-house database can be used for advanced search and screening functions as well as allowing
analysis of industry structure. AMI Consulting is expert in identifying who the relevant players
are and where they fit in the supply chain.
Case study
AMI identified 3 acquisition targets in Europe for a client seeking new capacity
. The options with the project delivered included a semi-tech facility being disposed of by a polymer
producer, a specialist facility in central Europe dedicated to a compatible, but different polymer and
the possibility of a joint investment with a US company currently importing into Europe a product
which in AMI Consulting’s opinion could be made on compatible equipment.

AMI Consulting’s M and A clients have included banks, business unit managers, venture capitalists
and others. Typically AMI Consulting clients are amongst the strongest performers in their fields.
Transactions on which AMI has acted in 2001/2 have had a cumulative value exceeding $2bn.
